SPARK

Birmingham 2022 festival presents SPARK!

You are invited to join us this summer at the Glue Garden for art and play set in our community garden in Northfield. More than a park, it is a SPARK! A place where creativity, imagination and play can flourish.

We present to you an environment, where children and adults of all ages and abilities can create, play and enjoy art. Enter into a space that invites individuals to become immersed in creative processes, encouraging experimentation and exploration of materials and objects.

SPARK is populated with a range of ‘loose arts’ and tactile artwork made by the collective. ‘Loose arts’ are designed from a range of natural and up-cycled materials that offer an invitation to be moved around, combined, stacked, dismantled and put back together in multiple ways, they come with no instructions creating a sense of wonder and encouraging imagination.

As a collective of artists we value quality of the play and creative process over the product and the installation changes in shape, colour and form depending on the contribution from participants the on the day.

We look forward to welcoming you!
